These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by QuizTech (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking, submitting a device, or approving a repair, you agree to the following terms.
1. Service Authorisation
By submitting your device, you authorise QuizTech to:
Inspect and diagnose the device
Provide a repair quotation
Perform approved repair services
Install parts as required
Conduct necessary testing
All repairs are subject to parts availability and technical feasibility.
If additional faults are discovered, client approval will be sought before further work is performed.
2. Repair Approval & Payment Obligation
Once a repair quotation has been approved (verbally, electronically, or in writing), authorisation is considered final.
Upon approval:
Parts may be ordered
Labour time is allocated
Repair work will commence
Once the agreed repair has been completed, full payment is required.
Refunds or cancellations will not be provided for:
Change of mind after approval
Refusal to proceed after parts have been installed
Requests to reverse completed repairs
Dissatisfaction unrelated to the agreed repair
Devices will not be released until payment has been finalised.
3. Data Backup & Repair Risk Notice
Clients are responsible for backing up all data before submitting their device.
Repair of electronic devices may result in loss of data. While reasonable care is taken, QuizTech is not liable for:
Data loss or corruption
Operating system failure
Pre-existing hardware faults
Encrypted or inaccessible data
Data loss resulting from necessary repair procedures
Goods presented for repair may be replaced with refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used where appropriate.
4. Quotes & Estimates
Quotes are based on the condition of the device at the time of inspection.
If additional issues are identified, client approval will be required before further work is performed.
Quotes are valid for 7 days unless otherwise stated.
5. Warranty
QuizTech provides a limited workmanship warranty on repairs performed.
Warranty applies only to the specific repair completed.
Warranty does not cover:
Accidental damage
Liquid damage
Impact damage
Electrical surge damage
Malware or virus reinfection
Software modifications after service
Unrelated component failures
Third-party repairs or tampering
Manufacturer warranties apply separately to any new parts installed.
6. Screen & Hardware Replacement Policy
Where screens or hardware components are replaced:
The device is acknowledged to have pre-existing damage.
Hidden or internal faults caused by prior impact may become apparent after repair.
Replacement of one component does not guarantee the overall condition of the device.
Warranty applies only to the replaced component and workmanship.
Removed or replaced parts become the property of QuizTech unless otherwise agreed.
7. Pickup & Delivery
Where pickup and delivery services are provided:
Device condition may be recorded at intake.
Clients must disclose known faults or damage.
Reasonable care is taken during transport.
QuizTech is not responsible for undisclosed pre-existing damage or latent internal faults.
8. Subcontracted Services
In specialised cases, QuizTech may engage trusted third-party technicians.
All such work remains managed under QuizTech supervision.
9. Refund Policy
QuizTech complies with Australian Consumer Law.
Refunds are not provided for:
Change of mind
Customer decision not to proceed after approval
Issues unrelated to the original repair
Software issues caused by user modifications
Malware reinfection
If a service does not meet consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law, appropriate remedies will be provided as required by law.
10. Uncollected Devices
Clients will be notified when repairs are complete.
If a device remains uncollected for more than 60 days after notification, QuizTech may issue written notice requesting collection.
If the device remains uncollected after reasonable attempts to contact the client, QuizTech reserves the right to dispose of or sell the device in accordance with applicable Victorian laws relating to uncollected goods.
Any outstanding repair charges may be recovered from proceeds where permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuizTech’s total liability for any claim relating to services provided is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.
QuizTech is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss including loss of income, loss of profits, business interruption, or loss of data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights under Australian Consumer Law.
12. Right to Refuse Service
QuizTech reserves the right to refuse service where:
Devices contain illegal material
The repair presents a safety risk
The request falls outside our service scope
Abusive or inappropriate behaviour occurs
13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Any disputes arising from services provided by QuizTech shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
